A Celebratory Tribute to

Pastor Michael Olawore

1961-2018

I have known Pastor Michael Olawore from high school. He was a man of vision and passion and an exemplary servant of God indeed. He was an inspirational leader and was full of encouragement and great motivation to others.

His yieldedness and consecration to the matters of God’s Kingdom was rather remarkable. His selfless love – expecting nothing in return, trustworthiness in God and faithfulness as the minister of God’s word was exceptional and worthy of emulation. Making disciples of nations was his passion.

He was able to plant quite a number of churches in a short time. He was an apostle indeed. His transition was a blow to me because I planned to accompany him on some of his missionary trips. “But our God is in heaven; He does whatever He pleases.” (Psalm 115:3). I trust that The Lord will watch over his biological and spiritual family left behind. “Blessed are the dead who die in The Lord from now on. ‘Yes’, says the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours, and their works follow them” (Revelation 14:13).
