Transforming Lives in Bulgaria
“I have a passion (a burden) in my heart to see the people of Bulgaria set free from the shackles of the past and released into the glorious destiny that awaits them in the Kingdom of God.”
Those words from the lips of our visionary leader, Pastor Michael, ignited a vision and plans to bring hope, deliverance and transformation to different communities in Bulgaria through New Wine Church as Jesus Christ’s agent of change, both in its spiritual expression and its practical demonstration of the loving heart of God.
Pastor Michael had an insatiable desire to help the downtrodden to rise from the ashes of defeat to experience new life in Christ, characterised by spiritual renewal, emotional healing and practical life-transformation. His heart yearned to see the weak made strong and the helpless empowered to become all they could be for God.
Through divine leading, Pastor Michael connected with Pastor Iliya Panov, a native of Bulgaria, with a like-minded passion to see God move in his nation… and thus began a journey of destiny that has led to two new branches already established in Bulgaria, a third branch to be launched soon, and a range of initiatives that Pastor Michael planned for the empowerment of the people of Bulgaria. These include:
Primary School
A school that will serve the children in some of the most deprived communities in Bulgaria. It will offer exceptional standards of education and create a solid foundation in the lives of the children that will help them break free of the shackles of poverty and deprivation around them.Feeding Programme
A programme that will provide nutritious, good quality meals for the homeless and severely underprivileged people in the community. It will also offer the recipients the opportunity of an environment for personal empowerment and spiritual uplifting.Skills Training Centre
This will provide a source of economic empowerment for the people, equipping them with skills in different trades and helping to facilitate a “different way of thinking” that will unleash their great potential and position them to reach greater heights of success and fulfilment.New Wine Church Branches
The branches will serve as the catalysts throughout Bulgaria for spiritual renewal that will be the bedrock upon which truly fulfilled and God-glorifying lives will be built.Bible Training Centre
A centre that will serve to train New Wine members in Bulgaria and others, to deepen their knowledge of the Bible and equip them to be more effective in reaching their world for Christ.Pastor Michael has cast the vision and now entrusts us with the sacred responsibility of bringing it into manifestation through the grace of the Almighty God, whom he loved with all his heart and served with all his might.
